I’ve arrived in England and I’m happy to say that the weather did not disappoint, it was grey and windy with a bit of showers just like I expected.
The flight itself was long but uneventful, I really don’t like being confined in one place for several hours but with flying it’s not like you really have an option of doing anything about it. So you remain seated, staring out the window intently as if watching clouds is the most fascinating thing that you’ve ever done in your life, all wondering to yourself how is it that tiny babies have the capacity to cry continuously throughout a flight no matter how long that flight is.
Tomorrow I take a train and head off to the university, Lord knows what I expect to find but I’m hoping for the best:) wish me luck!

It's late but Allahu akram and Eid Mubarak and insha Allah sanat kheir 3aleiki ya siti!
Watching clouds from above.... I never grow tired of it.
From Africa to Inglan, it's a long way in many respects. Let us know what it looks like thru your eyes
Hello HH, it’s been a while – hope that life is treating you kind.
It’s interesting that you suggest that I relate my perceptions and experiences of being here – it’s something that’s been on my mind from the moment I landed but my mind seems to be content with observing its new surroundings without allowing me to express myself like I would like to.
Something tells me that part of the reason for this mental block is because I have never felt the intensity of the growing gap between Africa and Europe as strongly as I have now.
It seems the more we try to bridge our differences the more pronounced they become issues such as religion, language, identity, culture, freedom and ethnicity.
Once my mind decides to unpack all these cluttered thoughts held within, I hope that you (whoever is reading this) will also feel free to discuss the ideas that will be put across.
