This is the second part of a full scan of the satirical magazine CARICATOUR #1, May, 1968. Part one is here. This short-lived magazine was published by Art Pottier. It's copyright 1968 by Contemporary Publications, Inc.
Highlights include the back page drawing by Lugoze of LBJ walking arm in arm with Earth Kitt, while Lady Bird scowls, as well as the above MGM Studios cheesecake shot of Sharon Tate. ("This picture is not connected to any specific news event as Vietnam, the U.S. Pueblo, race riots, taxes, strike, L.B.J., etc. And that's just one good reason why we print it.") Ms Tate, sadly, is now not remembered for her movie career. The next to last page has another Lugoze work of art: a nude of Everett Dirksen, Republican senator from Illinois. The quote, "A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon, you're talking real money," is attributed to him.
Other cartoonists include Louis Nitka, Marcelo Rodriguez, David Pascal, Mike Hodgson, Henry Martin, and Art Pottier.
