For the casual viewer of the long-running BBC TV show, THE STORY OF DOCTOR WHO (2003) is an hour long documentary on what went on before; general information about the previous Doctors, the Daleks, regeneration, how little money the show had and so on. This was upon the occasion of the series' 40th anniversary.
Not sure who the fellow is who does that dead on impersonation of Tom Baker in the beginning of the video. I believe he's the same fellow from this Dead Ringers parody below:

Video: DOCTOR WHO: "Death is the Only Answer"
Seems that some kids at a school in Basingstoke wrote a DOCTOR WHO mini-episode.
Take a look at their faces as the DW production team, which has come to their school, shows them the finished product. There are a few surprises, too.
In Britain, DOCTOR WHO is a children's show that has been part of the fabric of growing up since 1963.I can only imagine what it was like for these elementary school kids to have been part of the show.
And here's the actual show.
Fun, and there's a fez involved, so that's, of course, very cool.

On TCM Tonight: William Hartnell in CARRY ON SERGEANT
A pre-DOCTOR WHO William Hartnell (he's the sergeant; that's him with the big head yelling the title in the above poster) stars in CARRY ON SERGEANT (1959) on Turner Classic Movies tonight at 8pm EST.
Here's the trailer:
It's the first of the "CARRY ON" series of movies, which would continue through the 1970s. More about all this at the Taste Me You Will See blog, which is where I nicked the clip below from:

Video: DOCTOR WHO "Let's Kill Hitler" Prequel
A brief prequel to the upcoming August 27th DOCTOR WHO episode with the attention-getting title of "Let's Kill Hitler." No spoilers here and it runs less than 2 minutes -- but unless you saw the previous episodes, there's no context.

TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY New Trailer
Here's the first trailer to show us some of the cast and, of course, the new location for this summer's TORCHWOOD series. Like DOCTOR WHO, TORCHWOOD is visiting the United States. More than a visit, it looks like most of the new series, a 10 part arc, will play out entirely in the States. Hope I'm wrong, since it's been set in Wales since its inception. Being proudly Welsh (see the last scene in the trailer) is part of the fabric of the show.
The premise is, as many of creator Davies' ideas, a fascinating one. OK, so you may have seen the idea before (think THE DEVIL AND DANIEL WEBSTER) but I'll watch Davies' take for sure.

Video: DOCTOR WHO/MUPPETS "Movin' Right Along"
A sweeping collection of DOCTOR WHO clips to the tune of "Movin' Right Along" from THE MUPPET MOVIE. A big hat tip to Andrew Farago for this!
"1979 - Hell of a year! China invades Vietnam. "The Muppet Movie" - love that film. Skylab falls to Earth, with a little help from me. Nearly took off my thumb."
STAR TREK and DOCTOR WHO Vs. Klingons, Daleks, Etc!

"Star Trek vs. Dr. Who" is the title of this illustration by Mayhew, for Wizard Magazine, and now colored by Summerset.

Above: Mayhew's original B&W version.
I have no context for the illustration except that it's cool -- and if it's NOT a comic book then it SHOULD be a comic book!
Hat tip to Combom!
Of course, it would be historically accurate to have the Second Doctor in the drawing, since he was on the BBC while TREK was originally airing!
DOCTOR WHO #10 Engaged to Fifth DOCTOR's Daughter

Via Hello! Magazine: David Tennant, who played the tenth Doctor Who,
"... is reportedly engaged to Georgia Moffett – the actress daughter of fifth Time Lord Peter Davison."
"David and 26-year-old Georgia are apparently planning to wed on New Year's Day 2012.
"The couple have been dating for two-and-a-half years, after meeting on the set of Doctor Who in 2008.
"Georgia appeared in an episode, playing the Doctor's daughter Jenny (pictured above)."

Peter Davison and David Tennant.
As Slashdot puts it:
"In a veritable Who's Who of Doctor Who, 10th Doctor David Tennant is marrying Georgia Moffett, the daughter of 5th Doctor Peter Davison, who played the Doctor's daughter in an episode of Doctor Who. Except that the Doctor's daughter was a clone of the Doctor, which meant that she really was Who. So a newer Doctor is marrying an older Doctor's daughter, who is a clone of the newer doctor, but only has half the DNA of the older Doctor."
Hat tip to Adrian Sinnott! Thanks, Adrian!
DOCTOR WHO Unreleased Scene
An unseen scene from the cutting room floor of the Doctor and Amy at the end of "Eleventh Hour" and/or the beginning of "The Beast Below." Quite fun, but no plot advancement. "Why have you labeled a time machine 'police box?'" and so on. In HD from TheDoctorWhoMedia.
